THE STUDIO
The Work,
Behind the Work
The Working Process
There is no predetermined sketch. No fixed technique.
The work starts somewhere and finds its way, through scraping, layering, covering, and revealing. Previous versions of each painting still exist underneath. That history is part of what you're looking at.
Acrylic, gel medium, oil pastel, and tape, sometimes all in the same piece. The surface becomes physical over time. You can feel where decisions were made and unmade.
The empty canvas that sits for weeks is part of the process too. Waiting is not nothing. It's where the painting begins.
